Practice and Preparation
-
Satori Cello Ensemble members need to be committed, both in attendance of rehearsals and in dedicated personal practice
-
Cello ensembles have their own unique techniques that need to be addressed, so parts should be well-learned for each rehearsal, so that our time together is mainly dedicated to dynamics, phrasing, and ensemble work.
-
Every student should feel comfortable reading music in both tenor, and treble clef, and should be able to play in thumb position.
-
Please remember to bring what you would normally bring to any rehearsal: your well organized folder of music, rosin, a rock-stop, or strap, a pencil, extra strings, or anything else you might need.
